I'm in Europe, surrounded by 14,000,000 Turks, all trying to sell me a carpet. It's raining, it's cold, but my room in the Antique Hostel is warm and cozy, there's a rooftop deck, and a common room with big windows, and amazing views of the Bosphorus, ...... and did I say....... I'm in Europe. I cycled here from Hanmer Springs....... which goes to prove, that Europe is within cycling distance of home....... hehehe....... Jeepers, I'm in Europe.
Fiona has been in for a service, and is looking good. Great service from the guys at "Aktif Pedal". Highly recommend them if you're passing this way. They have a website, and at least two shops, one in Asia, just across the water, the Bosphorus Straits, and one in Europe...... which is where I am........ in Europe...... Holy Shite, I'm in Europe. I can't wait to get back on the bike and begin exploring but I promised Ju I would take a few days off. 14 million people live in this town, officially. They reckon there are two million unregistered Syrians here as well, and over the summer, up to 10 million tourists. That's a lot of people, and I've been riding Fiona through the very wet, slippery, steep, cobble stoned, traffic clogged streets. And it's awesome, because it's Europe...... and I'm here...... in Europe...... wow.
