Once again beautiful riding. Today on the Gorges to Sea Cycle way. Signage is not too hot however. At the first major intersection I had to rely on the small town solution:Ask the Postie. As usual worked wonders, including what time and where to watch out for the blue car and the Grey car, where to stop for the best photo, and a warning about cattle trucks on the gravel part of the road, cause today is Thursday.
Gravel sections today were tough as they had been recently graded so had no easy line to ride, and the gravel seemed really thick. Could have done with one of your fat tyred Surlys Mark. But the scenery was superb, in particular looking back over Keilawarra Station. Made good time once back on the seal, with a sheltered lunch stop in a school bus shelter.
So many birds today. You seem to creep up on them on the bike. Flocks of Rosella, half a dozen huge Pheasants, lots of Kingfishers, and the beautiful Piwakawaka that skip along the road with you.
So, bikes at the shop. Need to go and chat with someone about getting the Gopro to charge, and how to upload my fantastic footage.
