To all my friends, from over all my years, who made the effort to come and wish me well.......Thank you, thank you, thank you. The night was too short, and I did not have time to dance with you all, and thank you personally for coming, so I do so now.
It was amazing to have students and collegues from my teaching years attend: Michael Gooba Shirley from the 70s, Sarah Mason Boyd from the 80s, Markie from the 90s, Sumo, Amy, Sam from the 2000s and so many others from all over.
The most amazing thing though was the village. Hanmer Springs, made up of so many amazing people, so many of them I am privileged to be able to be called friends. They popped out of the woodwork and offered to help make this evening the wonderful success it was. Carl the security, Rod the camera man, Sharon the Bar Manager, Kerry and Phil, Neil, and Bags on the bar, Kate and Jim in the kitchen, Jason and Adam on the lights, Garth and Denise, sober drivers......The list goes on and on.
In a weekend of amazing emotions, reunions, goodbyes, tears and laughter, one of the highlights has to be having all the Fitzies along for the weekend. They danced, drank, had fun, and were along for the clean up in the morning. What an amazing family. I go on this adventure safe in the knowledge that you will be there for Ju while I'm away.

From the new ones, Julie, Pauline, Murray, Kelly n Duncan, Gill n Mike, Pricie, Kevin, Matt n Jen, Dr John, the young ones, Oscar, Lucas, Sumo, Amy, Jau, Jenny, Sam, the old ones, Chrissie, Graeme, Wendy, the villagers, Abbo, Horse, Carl, Denise, Garth, Jackie, Brendan n Karen, Brendan n Nicky, the extended family, Rod, Fletch, Karryn, Doobie, Sarah n Jonothan, Megan, Philly, Kerry, Ali, Chris....... I know I have missed some out, the tears are flowing. Thank you all for being there for me, for having my back, for your support, for looking out for my sweet Juliet and the rest of my family. Thank you for an amazing weekend. Be safe......or come and join me somewhere on my journey...... The Test of Time Gig in San Francisco, August 2016 maybe.....Or biking a leg somewhere on my adventure........
