So I'm at Paul and Amber's in Invercargill. Yesterday, Anzac Day the weather was not conducive to riding. Today I haven't got that excuse. Where to go. Amber suggests lunch at Riverton Rocks. Pauls research tells me it's only 29km. I suppose it's got to be done. Thanks for the support guys.
After 10km, I spot a sign. 29km to go. Let's blame Google maps eh Paul? Then the rain hits, in the face, and horizontal. Well that's blown my 2 hour ride prediction out the Window. Still, it's not going to be the last time that happens in the next two years. The traffic is reasonably light, and it's reasonably flat southland terrain. And then, before I know it, I have family accompanying me. Now that is nice.
Today I was ready to jump in the car for the trip back to Invercargill, and I remembered that day in Almaty. Let's make sure I get the fun side of the ride. Tail wind, downhill or flat all the way back, and the sun shining on my back. Yep, I got my reward. Lovely day. Thanks family, for encouraging me, and joining me. Love you heaps.
